Node-Based QoS-Aware Security Framework for Sinkhole Attacks in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks

Most networks strive to provide good security and an acceptable level of performance. Quality service (QoS) plays important role in the performance a network. Mobile ad hoc (MANETs) are decentralized self-configuring type wireless MANETs generally challenging provision QoS becomes huge challenge. Many researchers literature have proposed parallel mechanisms that investigate either or QoS. This paper presents framework is QoS-aware using network protocol called optimized link state routing (OLSR). Security targets may not necessarily be similar but this seeks bridge gap for optimal functioning MANET. The evaluated throughput, jitter, delay against sinkhole attack presented contributions (a) implementation OLSR, (b) design lightweight-intrusion detection system (c) removes fake routes bandwidth optimization. simulation results revealed increased by more than 70% efficiency terms throughput. Delay jitter levels were reduced close 85% as compared when was under attack.
